Course Objectives The aim of this course is to have enough knowledge about individual labor law.
Learning Outcomes The students who succeeded in this course;
  • will be able to explain the basic individual labor law concepts such as employee, employer, workplace.
  • will have detailed knowledge about the types of individual employment contract, how it is constituted and terminated, and the rights, debt and obligations of employees based on those contracts.
  • will be able to explain and interpret the imperative provisions about working conditions.
  • will be able to debate scholarly about the systems that can balance the modern management requirements and the workers’ rights, including atypical working conditions.
  • will have deep knowledge about the inspection and penal sanction of labor life.
Course Description Labor Law is a course taught in two different semesters, and includes individual labor law, and some parts of collective labor law and union law in its context. The subject of the first part of this course will be individual labor law and it will cover the historical development of labor law, its sources, fields of application to persons and activities, basic concepts, employment contract, obligations arising from the employment contract and working conditions.
